Sacred Himalayan Journeys with Himalayan Hermitage

Pilgrimage Asia is delighted to partner with Himalayan Hermitage, a Nepal-based pilgrimage and retreat organization dedicated to sharing the sacred wisdom traditions, contemplative practices, and living cultures of the Himalayas.

Founded by Sisse and Alex d’Artois after years of meditation practice and immersion in Tibetan Buddhist culture, Himalayan Hermitage offers thoughtfully curated journeys that combine pilgrimage, meditation, philosophy, and authentic encounters with Himalayan communities and monastic traditions. Their programs encourage travelers to move beyond conventional tourism and engage with the Himalayas through reflection, mindfulness, and meaningful cultural connection.

Together, Pilgrimage Asia and Himalayan Hermitage offer immersive journeys for those seeking sacred landscapes, contemplative practice, and deeper understanding of Himalayan spiritual heritage in Nepal and the surrounding regions.

✅ Participants will register directly through the Himalayan Hermitage website. If you decide to join one of these journeys, we kindly ask that you mention “Pilgrimage Asia” in the “How did you find out about Himalayan Hermitage?” section during registration at the booking link here https://journeys.himalayanhermitage.com/book/.

Weekthun Meditation Retreat in Nepal

September 20–29, 2026

Experience a contemplative journey in the sacred Kathmandu Valley through meditation, pilgrimage, and Buddhist philosophy. The Weekthun Meditation Retreat centers on Shamatha (calm-abiding) meditation practice, with daily guided sessions, reflection, and discussions in a supportive group environment.

Open to both beginners and experienced practitioners, the retreat combines inner practice with visits to sacred Buddhist sites and living spiritual traditions throughout Nepal. The journey concludes with a special pilgrimage to Nepal’s three great stupas: Namo Buddha, Swayambhunath, and Boudhanath.

Set within the spiritual atmosphere of the Himalayas, this retreat offers an opportunity to slow down, cultivate mindfulness, and deepen one’s connection with Buddhist contemplative practice and sacred culture.
